Squirell – Dressing

Squirell dressing is for the smallest flys ! It can be a little downy and very light. Hardly any need for wax. Awailable as autumn or winter’s fur. Autumn’s fur is shorter, thinner and reddish brown. Winter’s fur is thicker, longer and silvery grey. Useful for the bodys of small Mayfly nymphs.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Squirell – Mask (Face)

The most important of this product are the whiskers ! There are no better antennae for Mayflies. Whiskers are very supple and resilient. It makes them durable for many landed fish. You can tie up to 15 flys with antennae from a set of whiskers. Squirell whiskers are black. As a bonus you get the eartips and the fur of the face.

Price: 50 SEK + Postage.

Squirell – Tail

A well known fly-tying material. Utilizes the same way as Martens tail, but it is a lot stiffer in its structure.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Ermine – Dressing

I use this for tufts for Midges, or Lake flies, amongst other things. Another good purpose is if you want to make a body lighter in a natural way. For example you can mix Squirell with Ermine, then you will get lighter grey or lighter brown bodies.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Ermine – Mask (Face)

This product is used the same way as Squirells face. What differs is that the Ermine’s whiskers are white, occasionally black. This makes them suited as tail antennae for a.o. Spent Spinner, which often are transparent.

Price: 50 SEK + Postage.

Ermine – Tail

The only material in Swedish nature that is completely black. At least amongst the fur game. A Mink never becomes as black as the Ermines tail tip. Since the tip is naturally black, and thus unaltered, it has a very lively way to move in the water.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Muskrat – Dressing

The structure of this fur is much like the Squirells. It is always of high quality, and the underwool is grey. Very easy to shape into the body of smaller flies.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Mink – Tail

Each package contains a whole tail. Useful for wings and bodys for many

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Mink – Dressing

I sell both autumn and winter’s fur of Mink. It is delivered unsorted, but if you wish, you can have either kind. Autumn’s fur is lighter brown and shorter, while winter’s fur is darker, almost black sometimes, and with thicker underwool. Mink is high-class dressing.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Marten – Tail

Fur from the Martens tail is most often used for Streamer, Palmer and larger Caddisflie imitations. The fur is long, soft and very flexible. In the water it gets a pulsing, attractive movement, which in a special way lures the fish to bite.

Price: 100 SEK + Postage.

Marten – Dressing

To my mind, amongst the most exclusive there is. The Martens fur is quite long, soft and very easy to shape – even into smaller flies. I have for myself a fly fully made of Marten. It is a hatcher in the shape of a Mayflie nymph, which is quite efficient in my areas.

Price: 80 SEK + Postage.

Beaver – Dressing

Beaverfur has exceptionally good water resistance. The fur can easily be shaped into a fly’s body, especially if only the underwool is used. This fur is very suitable for bodys of Caddis and pupae of different kinds.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Roe Deer

This material has the same qualities as all other Deer hair. It is the best material for flies of the Streaking Caddis type. Package contain a generous portion of Swedish Roe Deers winter fur.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Hare – Mask (Face)

There is probably not a single Fly-Tie’r in the world who has missed Hare’s ear. But this package contains also the face of the Hare. The Swedish Hare differs slightly from other Hares in that it keeps its winterfur, which is fuller and longer. For all flies.

Price: 50 SEK + Postage.

Hare – Dressing

This material is known to Fly-Tiers since way back in time. The structure of the fur is more supple and finer than that of f.i. Mink.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Fox – Chest

Since the Trapper’s fly tying material always is uncoloured, then this is an alternative for lighter flies for Salmon and Salmon Trout. The Fox’s chest is nearly always white, or greyish-white in colour.

Price: 50 SEK + Postage.

Fox – Abdomen

Nearly the same as other dressings, but its colour is greyer and the fur slightly shorter. The Streamer often has wings of fur from Fox’s abdomen.

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Fox – Dressing

Fox fur is often used for Salmon and Salmon Trout. Relatively long fur, reddish-brown in colour under the topcoat. An unaltered material with natural qualities!

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.

Fox – Tailtip

Exactly what it sounds like, the tip of the Fox’es tail. It is white, some times with a few black hairs closest to the cutting. The fur is longer and therefore much useful for making Pike-flies a.o.

Price: 50 SEK + Postage.

Fox – Tail

Foxtail is maybe mostly used in fly tying as coloured in strong and flouroscent colours. The Trappers product line is as mentioned fully natural and unaltered material.
Our domestic northswedish Trout willingly takes flies of uncoloured Fox!

Price: 40 SEK + Postage.
